Levan Gotua - (March, 10 1905 - January 30 1973) was a famous Georgian writer. He has written fabulous historical novels. One of his most famous works
was "Gmirta Varami", which is fueled by the writer's great love of his country and the rich history of Georgia.
Levan Gotua was born in Tbilisi. He graduated Faculty of Economy of the Tbilisi State University.
Author of many novels and historical stories among them famous "Krtcanisi sorrow" (1956), "Dissipated caravan" (1957).
Historical novel "The hero's destiny" (1958-62) discribe Georgia in XVII century and show detail of dissension war in
feodal era. First his book of famous historical trilogy "Mitridat" (1968) narrate about Ancent Kolkhida, defend themself
from Roman conqueror. During the Second World War (1941-1945) his pieces "King Irakly" (1942), "King David" (1945),
"Invincible" (1943) with great success was demonstrated in the theatre.
